What is F@H?

Created by scientists at Stanford University, Folding@Home (F@H) is a record-breaking distributed-computing program that networks your unused computer resources to create one of the most powerful super-computers in the world. It then directs that energy towards folding amino acids to understand some of the most devastating diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's, and Huntington’s in more intimate detail, enabling researches to fight them more effectively. Folding@Home is a global effort, with individuals just like you joining hands to make difference. You really can be “one in a million!”

how to register

​​NOTE: You must first create an account and join the Elite discord before going forward.

• Step 1: Type fah-register in the #tipbot channel and read the given instruction carefully.
• Step 2: If you ignored or missed the instruction given by the bot itself, please pay attention to the following step.
• Step 3: Grab the address that the bot generated for you in the #tipbot channel and use it as your "Folding as" name on this site.
• Step 4: Set the "team" number to 234042 and leave the "passkey" blank.
• Step 5: Click the "Save" icon below the "Folding as."
• Step 6: Choose the amount of Folding power that you'd like to offer.
• Step 7: Click "Start Folding" to begin.
• Step 8: Check back to see if it's reached at least 150 points (this is required).
• Step 9: Return to the #tipbot channel on Elite discord and retype "fah-register" to fully claim that the address is yours.
• Step 10: Once the bot for example says "Registration successful!!! FAH Credits to date: 150" then you're good to go; the “Credits to date” could be higher if you fold more than 150 points before checking back in.
